ITE Better Health Project
Increasing Mental Health Awareness Among the Nepali-Speaking Bhutanese Population Through Hiking, Biking, and Walking

🏔️ About the Project
The ITE Better Health Project combines physical activity with meaningful community support.
Our goal is to improve mental health well-being and increase awareness within the Nepali-speaking Bhutanese community by organizing regular, accessible outdoor activities.

Community Hikes: Guided walks and hikes designed to connect participants with nature and each other.

Biking Excursions: Group rides that promote physical fitness and stress relief.

Mental Health Conversations: Culturally sensitive discussions and resources shared in a welcoming, stigma-free environment during our outings.

Why Hiking & Biking? Physical movement in nature is proven to reduce anxiety, lower stress levels, and improve overall mood. By moving together, we build a stronger, healthier, and more connected community.
